It's almost time for us to depart on our month long adventure through Vietnam. It seems like quite awhile now since we first made contact with Mrs Ha of Vietland Discovery in Da Nang, Vietnam. We left everything in her hands and have had her set up the entire itinerary, including hotels, guides, planes, trains, boats, visas, and all the other little details. A stress free way to plan a vacation. We have nothing but good things to say about Ha.
It's surprising just how large Vietnam is, the distance between Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) is the same distance as it is from the US border to the Northwest Territories, and there is still more of Vietnam north and south of those cities. We start our adventure with about ten days in the north; Hanoi, Halong Bay, and Sapa. We then head southward through Hue, Hoi An, Da Lat, and HCMC. Then a couple of days to explore the Mekong river before we boat up to Phnom Penh and finish the vacation in Siem Reap and the vast area of the Angkor ruins. Cameras are ready, memory cards are clear, notebooks are packed. Just a couple of days and one long airplane ride, and we'll be there......
